JFRAI Family Farms ("we", "our", or "us") operates the JFRAI Family Farms OS mobile and web application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Email address, name, farm name, password (hashed), and optional farm address.

Farm & Crop Data

Crops you plant, seed packet photos you scan, harvest yields, water logs, soil tests, and notes you create. This data is stored securely and only visible to you.

Location Data

With your permission, we use your device location to show local weather, frost alerts, and your USDA hardiness zone. Location is not stored beyond the immediate request.

Camera & Photos

With your permission, we access the camera/photo library to let you scan seed packets and take crop photos. Images are stored in your account and never shared without your action.

Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers. We only store the subscription tier and expiration date.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide and maintain the App's crop planning features
• To send weather, frost, and task reminders you opt into
• To process subscription payments
• To provide AI crop recommendations (via OpenAI/GPT)
• To enable marketplace/messaging features between farmers (with your consent)

3. Third-Party Services

• Stripe — subscription payment processing
• OpenAI — AI seed packet recognition & planting advice
• Open-Meteo — weather forecasts (no personal data shared)
• USDA Agricultural Marketing Service — farmers market directory (public data)
• Google Sign-In (optional) — for authentication if you choose

4. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal data. We do NOT share your data with advertisers. We do NOT use advertising identifiers. We only share data with the third-party services listed above strictly for app functionality.

5. Data Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Connections use HTTPS/TLS. Session tokens expire automatically. Payments flow through Stripe's PCI-compliant hosted checkout.

6. Your Rights

You can: (a) access, edit, or delete your data within the App, (b) delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's Delete Account screen, or by emailing info@jfraifamilyfarms.com, (c) revoke camera/location permissions in your device settings at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the App and via email.
